Morgan and Derek got married on the beautiful beach of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Morgan grew up spending her summers at the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort with her family and knew for a long time this is where she would say "I Do".
"He proposed where my parents got married, and where we spread my moms ashes in San Diego. He pretended like we were taking a photo but recorded the whole thing without me knowing!"
"I knew it was THE dress when I looked at my dad and saw how it made him feel."
Partly cloudy skies provided a beautiful stream of sunshine and a cool breeze for the ocean side ceremony. Under a grand arched alter Morgan and Derek chose to participate in a "Blending of the Sands". The meaning of a sand ceremony symbolizes the two separate jars of sand, as their separate lives, separate families and separate sets of friends.
As they poured the two jars of sand into the third container, the individual jars no longer existed, but were joined together as one. Just as the grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so their marriage will be also.
Your Favorite Moment
"The moments with my dad and family, but my favorite was standing at the end of the aisle and seeing Derek for the first time."
Just steps away from the sand everyone enjoyed a Lowcountry biscuit bar and crab cakes with fried green tomatoes. Morgan and Derek also chose an assortment of cakes from a local bakery that included Caramel Pecan, German Chocolate, Coconut, Key Lime Pie and Red Velvet Cake.
Your Advice to couple's planning their wedding
"As crazy as this sounds.. but don't stress!! Be present."
